Green Valley Nightclub.

GREEN VALLEY.
Balneário Camboriú, Brasil. South America.

Electronic dance music nightclub Green Valley in Balneário Camboriú, Brasil. In 2006 a structure of stage, track and cabin was rented for three events to happen in a unique way and paradisiacal place – Life is a Loop, Infected Mushroom and DJ Tiesto. This was a great test about the way a new house had to be to impress and surrender. Was discovered that the ritm was going to be house music, and green the key ingredient of the new e-music super-club in Brazil.

The first construction of Green Valley’s today structure was thought in great details and executed for professionals capable to make dreams come true. The architectonic project sugested an integration of external and internal areas creating a conection with the original lakes, the hills around the club, and all the native vegetation. The idea was to put together originality and refinement in touches of modernity and rusticity. With a wonderful exotic appearance, was defined the image of the most conceptual and coolest club in the country.

Since the opening, at November 2007, Green Valley is recognized as an oasis of e-music in Brazil. It’s profile had allowed, for the first time in history, a Brazilian club to fight on equal terms with the biggest entertainment clubs in the world.

The building is distinguished by its enormous dimensions, which accommodate an 18-meter high dance floor and space for 1,500 guests. The interior’s minimalist design is dominated by steel and concrete. The club contains a “cavernous” main room, as well as a smaller upstairs space called the «Panorama Bar» which is decorated by large-scale Wolfgang. Tillmans photographs and features tall windows with a view of East Berlin. Ministry of Sound Nightclub.

MINISTRY OF SOUND.
London, UK, Europe.

Electronic dance muisc nightclub Ministry of Sound in London, UK, Europe. Ministry of Sound started out as a nightclub in London, but has since diversified into a multimedia entertainment business. In addition to the nightclub, it is an independent record label and worldwide events brand with a radio station and other media outlets.

Ministry of Sound began as the brainchild of Justin Berkmann. Inspired by New York’s Paradise Garage, Berkmann set out to create London’s first club devoted to the American house music scenes of 1980s New York, Chicago and Detroit. As opposed to striking a balance between the typical hallmarks of a live music venue, Ministry of Sound was conceived as an arena purely dedicated to sound. Berkmann stated: “My concept for Ministry was purely this: 100% sound system first, lights second, design third (in that order); the reverse of everyone else’s idea.” Berkmann was introduced to James Palumbo, who was working in property finance at the time, by Humphrey Waterhouse to realise the concept. The site, a disused bus garage, was located in Elephant & Castle in Southwark, London. The club opened on 21 September 1991.

Zouk Singapore Nightclub.

ZOUK SINGAPORE.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Electronic dance music nightclub Zouk Singapore in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Zouk From a historic warehouse to superclub. The building itself – consisting of three warehouses built on the Singapore River in 1919 — is part of Singapore’s history. When the club’s management tendered for the space, the buildings were dilapidated and roofless with crumbling walls. Zouk sought to restore the facade to its original state. Existing walls were conserved and new levels and compartments were added to create a modern interior. New timber trusses bolstered the roof while maintaining the traditional warehouse architecture of Singapore.

Zouk has since revamped itself many times, ensuring its relevance to every new generation. The last major revamp being in September 2005, when Zouk closed for a month and re-invested $7 million on refurbishing the entire complex, from the facade to all its signature outlets; Zouk main room, Velvet Underground, Phuture and the Wine Bar. The most recent revamp was in July 2012 when Phuture underwent a million dollar revamp to install an eye-catching LED wall that spans the length of one wall, updated most of the furniture and added some new podiums.
