Hugh Hardie has really unleashed a darker side to his production in 2024. Brawler and Followers have shown that the Cantabrigian is not willing to fall in line and can duke it out with the best of them when it comes to heavy basslines. As we come out of summer and the nights draw in, we proudly present the title track of his 2024 EP, Darkstar. Tominthechamber, who is slowly building his catalogue of features on Soulvent Records, providing his usual effortless wordplay & style.

‘Darkstar’ opens with heavily filtered hats and an ominous soundscape before tominthechamber enters the fray with his vivid writing and signature flow. The drop unleashes powerful drums alongside a twisted and gnarly bass face inducing bassline that will keep you in the dark as to where it’s going next. The build to the second drop is tense before even more dark and guttural tones envelope the track before rolling out to a vinyl brake type closure.
