A 360° creative, Virgil Abloh is undoubtedly one of the most influential characters in the world today. The founder of the most popular streetwear brand of the moment, Off-White, will be at Ortigia Sound System Festival as a DJ, for an exclusive set. His creativity has managed to seduce high fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton and world-renowned musicians such as Kanye West, his collaborations with successful companies such as Nike and IKEA have travelled around the world.
To the lineup of OSS’ sixth edition are also added Yussef Dayes, a young English drummer already known for the project Yussef Kamaal, the young Belgian-Caribbean artist Charlotte Adigéry, who has recently published her second EP, Zandoli, and the French musician, producer and sound engineer Myd, former member of Club Cheval.
After the great success of last year’s edition 7 boat parties, this year the number of boat DJ sets will increase to 8, two a day from Thursday to Sunday. On board the Selene, Ortigia Sound System Festival will host, in collaboration with Carhartt, a rich selection of artists from all over the world, from Italy to Uganda, mirroring a 360° music program ranging from house to world music. The stars of this year’s boat parties will be Leon Vynehall, British DJ and producer of prestigious label Ninja Tune, Jamie Tiller, founder of Music From Memory label, the Italian independent label Hell Yeah Recordings with the new project of its founder Marco Gallerani (Peedo), Balearic
Gabba Sound System, and the Norwegian house veteran Bjørn Torske. To these are added one of the most interesting Italian projects in the electronic field, Still, with a
featuring by Devon Miles, the Lithuanian nightlife icon Manfredas, the Roman project Vipra Sativa and the Portuguese DJ Tiago, active for over 20 years.
There will be a special focus on the UK underground scene, with the young, talented DJ and radio presenter Sherelle, while the young Berlin booking agency Odd Fantastic will present an allfemale lineup with one of the voices of NTS Radio, Danielle, and the cosmic techno flavor of Beta Librae.
The new sounds of Africa will be present as well, thanks to Otim Alpha and Leo P of Nyege Nyege Tapes – one of the most active African labels, which hosts the homonymous festival in Uganda. At OSS19 will also perform Jackie, another important name in the Portuguese electronic scene, and the duo Gommage Dj Team, composed of Dj Kramer (Luc Ramon) and Claudio Fagnani (Elita).

Giorgio Moroder.
Undisputed pioneer of electronic music and disco music, in 2019 – at the age of 79 – he decided to undertake his first European tour, Celebration of the 80’s. Creator of one of the all-time disco music greatest hits, I feel love, interpreted by the legendary voice of Donna Summer, Mr. Moroder is also the author of iconic soundtracks for cult films of the 80s such as Flashdance, Top Gun, Scarface, The Neverending Story and American Gigolò.
Neon Indian.
The chillwave band native to Denton (Texas) and led by Alan Palomo (also known for his collaborations with Ghosthustler and for the solo project VEGA) has released three studio albums: Psychic Chasms (2009), Era Extraña (2011) and VEGA INTL. Night School (2015). VIRGIL ABLOH Virgil Abloh has been named by Time magazine “one of the 100 most influential people in the world”. Although his name is best known for his collaborations with Kanye West, the Off-White streetwear brand and the creative direction of Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh is also an internationally respected DJ. His selections well reflect his 360° artistic vision.
Ben UFO (Hessle Audio).
Co-founder of Hessle Audio label in 2007 together with Pearson Sound and Pangaea, Ben UFO has managed to gain a prominent position in the world of electronic music thanks to his skills as a selector and DJ, always exploring old and new sonic realms including house, garage, grime and dubstep.
Pearson Sound (Hessle Audio).
Ideator of Hessle Audio label along with Ben UFO and Pangaea, David Kennedy is considered one of the UK’s most cutting-edge dancefloor artists. After a series of EPs released in 2009, he released his first album in 2015. Kennedy is well-known for his remixes for artists such as Radiohead, The XX and M.I.A.
Pangaea (Hessle Audio).
After taking his first steps in music with a two-track mixer, a keyboard and a tape recorder, the British artist Kevin McAuley gives life to the first dubstep evening of Leeds, Ruffage, and in 2009 begins to be known as a DJ and producer with his label Hessle Audio.
Yussef Dayes.
One of the most exciting and innovative young drummers and producers in the UK, Yussef Dayes is best known for his work with his brothers on United Vibrations and for the duo Yussef Kamaal. Although largely considered a “jazz” drummer, his sound blends everything from 70’s funk to Senegalese percussion to the latest British grime. The unifying factor is a fluid and vital energy. After the first solo release in 2018, Love Is The Message, 2019 will see the release of his debut album and numerous collaborative projects.
Leon Vynehall.
British producer and DJ, Leon Vynehall stands out for his house, deep house and downtempo productions. After the first two acclaimed EPs, released respectively in 2014 and 2016, Vynehall arrived in 2018 at the prestigious label Ninja Tune.

Moniker of Joseph Richmond Seaton, the London-based DJ and musician is known for his meticulous approach to composition, production and artistic direction. An eclectic universe that gives life to shadows and cancels the traditional boundaries within electronic music.
Ross From Friends.
Multifaceted project by the British producer Felix Clary Weatherall, with John Dunk on the saxophone and Jed Hampson on the electric guitar, Ross from Friends leaves from lo-fi to reach the paths of FlyLo. His debut album, Family Portrait, was released on Flying Lotus label.
Jerusalem In My Heart.
Active since the first half of the 2000’s, JIMH was born as a sitespecific multimedia performance that later developed over the years becoming a real AV project embracing the aesthetics of the Arab tradition with the modern musical languages of electronics.
KOKOKO!
KOKOKO! is the leading DIY collective of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s alternative music scene. The collective also includes dancers and performers. The band has already collected many sold outs around Europe on their first tour in 2018.
Lino Capra Vaccina.
Lino Capra Vaccina entered the Italian music scene in the 70’s with Aktuala, a historic Milanese band that brought together psychedelic rock with African and Asian music, has. He later continued his career as a soloist and with many collaborations including the one with Franco Battiato.
MYD
Author of a multifaceted music, both as a solo artist and with the band Club Cheval, Myd is also a talented beatmaker at the service of world-renowned artists such as Theophilus London and Kanye West. His soundtrack for the French film Petit paysan has been nominated for the 2018 César Awards.
Charlotte Adigéry.
A talented storyteller capable of rapidly ranging from introspection to irony, Charlotte Adigéry this year published her second ep, Zandoli, in which the musical tradition of the island that gave birth to her family, Martinique, blends with contemporary beats.
Lamusa II.
Rome-born and London-based, Italian musician and producer Giampaolo Scapigliati participated in 2016 Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal and currently conducts a monthly radio show on the webradio Rinse France.
Emmanuelle.
Emmanuelle is the artist behind the soundtrack of OSS’ 2017 edition with her song Italove. The year she is ready to make the audience of OSS dance again with her live performance “È tutto blu” and its irresistible formula combining the most classical dance music with the finest house and Italo disco.
Jamie Tiller.
Originally from London, Jamie Tiller recently moved to Berlin, passing through Amsterdam, where he founded Music From Memory with Tako Reyenga. The label is considered one of the most interesting that has emerged in the last five years, with a rich catalogue of visionary electronic music from the past and present.
Balearic Gabba Sound System.
The Balearic Gabba Sound System is a dream team founded by Hell Yeah Recordings boss Marco “PeeDoo” Gallerani, along with Enzo Elia, Everest Parisi, E-the-Hot, DJ Ca $ h, Gallo and spiritual guide Bjorn Torske. The Balearic Gabba Sound System represents the second generation of the so-called Balearic DJs, those who grew up with raves in the 90s and survived the digital revolution.
Bjørn Torske.
Norwegian house and techno producer Bjørn Torske started experimenting with electronic music in his hometown of Tromsø in the late 1980s. His latest releases have been released by the labels Sex Tags Mania and Smalltown Supersound.
Slow Motion.
An Italian-Berlin label releasing some of the best Italian producers from London, Shanghai, New York and Milan, Slow Motion Records brings Italian dance music to every latitude, while remaining faithful to the dance floor identity of the last 30 years.
Alessandro Adriani.
Born in Rome but living in Berlin, Alessandro Adriani is the mind behind Mannequin Records, a label that spreads the darkest synth wave and industrial sounds around the world since 2008. Alessandro’s works have also been published on labels such as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and God Jealous.
Domenico Romeo.
Artist and designer, Domenico explores the world of gestures and abstract calligraphy through painting. His artistic work focuses on the interior, and is based on the need to speak to himself. His love of music and desire to experiment lead him to create new ways of conceiving live performances.
Nuova Astrazione.
Creative duo based in Berlin, Nuova Astrazione works in the field of interactive visual art shaping new worlds through the use of traditional software and the creation of new one.
Elena Colombi.
Italian-born, London-raised Elena Colombi has made herself known in the underground scene of the British capital by organising a successful party series. Elena combines her activity as radio presenter on NTS Radio with dj set performances all over the world, always embracing the best of the past and the future and privileging underground artists without genre distinctions.
Object Blue.
Based in London, the producer and dj of Chinese origin Object Blue has managed to gain a reputation among the greats for its live sets showcasing an experimental club music that combines the most acid techno with heavy bass and strong rhythms.
Still Feat Devon Miles.
Still is the new moniker of Simone Trabucchi (ex Dracula Lewis), founder of Hundebiss Records and half of Invernomuto. Still project was born as a musical platform dedicated to a personal interpretation of dancehall music, combining the stories that connect his hometown Vernasca to Ethiopia and Jamaica.
Manfredas.
Resident DJ of the Smala evening at the Opium Club in Vilnius, Lithuania, Manfredas stood out for his original cover of Vamos a la playa from Righeira, reaching the 19th position in local charts. He currently releases for the label Les Disques De La Mort.
Vipra Sativa.
Through strong parallels between the music of the ghettos of Lisbon and Caracas and the oppressive cyberpunk of artists like Primitive Art, with the EP Musica Jao, Vipra project stages a heavy style, with surreal arrangements that leave much to the imagination.

Resident DJ of the Trust evening at the Lux Club in Lisbon for over 20 years, producer, DJ and musician Tiago has played a key role in awakening love and interest in the various nuances of dance music in the last decade around the world.
Venerus.
Considered one of the most eclectic and original artists of the Italian independent scene thanks to his modern soul/R&B, Andrea Venerus is the author of a musical proposal where the Italian language and electronic sounds harmoniously co-exist. After an experience in London, he currently lives and works in Rome.
Sherelle.
Specialising in fast rhythms and heavy-low-end frequencies, Sherelle is a British DJ and radio presenter at the forefront of the UK underground electronic scene. An unmistakable style of footwork, juke, jungle and other genres at the top end of the BPM scale.
Danielle.
After taking her first steps in the world of music working in London’s famous Phonica Records store, the dj and illustrator currently hosts programmes on NTS Radio and is the mind behind one of Bristol’s most popular workshops, “Mix Nights”.
Beta Librae.
Originally from Kansas but based in Brooklyn, Bailey Hoffman produces a cosmic techno. The dark debut album, Swope Park, was released in 2015 on cassette. Since 2018, Beta Librae has been a resident DJ at Nowadays in Queens.
Nyege Nyege Tapes.
The African label based in Kampala, Uganda, explores, produces and publishes music by local and international artists. In addition to recording studios and annual residencies in the Ugandan capital, Nyege Nyege Tapes organizes an annual festival in September at the mouth of the Nile. The label will present two artists, Otim Alpha and Leo P at OSS19.
Otim Alpha.
Over a decade ago, Otim Alpha began working with fellow musician and producer Leo Palayeng to turn traditional Acholi music into a new hyper-phrenic electronic version known as Acholitronix.
Jackie.
Organiser of events in Portugal in the cities of Lisbon and Porto, Jackie is a dj known for her ability to go through a wide spectrum of emotions, styles, moods and beats, finding and mixing small connections and relationships within musical genres ranging from the first sounds of Chicago electronics to European synth-wave of the 80s, from transgender hip hop to electro dark, from disco to emotional breakbeats.

A duo composed of Dj Kramer (Luc Ramon) and Claudio Fagnani (Elita), the Gommage Dj Team prefer tracks rather than stories, with songs that build musical friendships that can lead anywhere.
