Following High Contrast and Bou’s Beatport no.1 Don’t Need You last year, High Contrast now enlists Bou for a special remix of his iconic D&B hit Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. 

Originally released in 2007, High Contrast’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang became a firm D&B favourite amongst tastemakers and fans, standing the test of time. Now returning with a modern twist, rising D&B producer of the moment Bou gives the original a refresh 15 years on. 

The exciting remix from High Contrast’s golden back catalogue has resulted from his evolving friendship with Bou over the past year after meeting for the first time at Let It Roll.  As an unstoppable force on the D&B scene, the pair’s complimentary skills saw them come together for Don’t Need You on Bou’s Gossip label which landed no.1 on the Beatport Chart, over 1M streams and counting plus ongoing support from BBC Radio 1.

Unleashing Kiss Kiss Bang Bang once more with Bou’s signature stamp that has already seen remix approval from Shy FX, Sub Focus, DJ Fresh and more, there was no one more suited than Bou for this modern rework. High Contrast shares: “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a personal favourite of my own tunes and one fans often request at shows so it felt like a good time to get a new remix of it done with live events returning. After having such a great collaboration with Bou on our track ‘Don’t Need You’, he seemed like the perfect choice to take on the remix. With his ear for dancefloor sonics and knack for heavy but cheeky basslines, he delivered exactly what I was hoping for – Kiss Kiss Bang Bang the 2022 edition.”

With over 45M streams to his name and a sold-out headline show coming up at E1 in London this year, Bou is rapidly becoming a key D&B heavyweight on the scene. The young producer has already landed additional no.1 Beatport spots on his label with tracks like Talk To Me and Cous Cous alongside Inja whilst he’s continued to use his platform to help others. His compilation DNB 4 Peace ft. the likes of Chimpo, Benny L, Foreign Beggars, Lenzman, Mollie Collins, Turno and more raised over £30K for those affected by the ongoing conflicts in Palestine, with 100% of donations going to at-risk families.
