NOISIA. Neurofunk trio disbanding after 20 years, artists announces final tour: It Is Never The Right Time.

Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger released a statement yesterday saying that the Dutch drum & bass group was “a game that (they’ve) completed.” “Noisia has always been about making as few compromises as we can,” the trio said. “When Noisia becomes a compromise in itself, it’s time to move on.”

The statement adds that the group will spend the next few months saying “goodbye to our fans properly.” The group also told Billboard recently that they intend to continue making music as individuals and with each other.

Noisia, founded in 2000, is one of drum & bass’s most recognisable acts, with a catalogue that often combined an emphasis on sound design with the ferocity associated with techstep. Some of their best-known records include 2009’s “The Bells” and their debut album, Split The Atom, from 2010. The trio also run a drum & bass label called Vision Recordings which has put out music from Mefjus, The Upbeats and more.
