HIGH CONTRAST. Producer enlists Camo, Krooked, Mefjus for remix of Return of Forever 20 years since it’s release.

Welcoming the second single off his forthcoming 20th-anniversary True Colours remix album, legendary drum & bass trailblazer High Contrast enlists elite innovators Camo & Krooked and Mefjus to contribute their award-winning technical mastery to Return of Forever.

Another triumph in an endless stream of successful co-releases, this latest Camo & Krooked and Mefjus unity demonstrates the magical harmony present in previous collaborations such as Sientelo, which won Best Track of the Year at the Drum and Bass Awards, No Tomorrow (feat. Sophie Lindinger) that gathered over 5M streams and support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss Nights, London Elektricity, Mollie Collins, and Sub Focus. And, their remix of Subfocus’ high power single Last Jungle, which gathered over 1M Spotify streams. Collectively and individually, the Austrian producers have generated an unequivocal influence that has put their country on the map for drum & bass music.

Meeting at the skatepark and bonding in the studio, Vienna based A-list producers Camo & Krooked have collected a myriad of accolades in the top ten variety at the Drum&BassArena Awards from ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Track’ to falling second only to Andy C in the ‘Best DJ’ category. Known for a patented ‘anti-drop’ style drenched in musical dexterity, Reinhard Camo Rietsch and Markus Krooked Wagner’s vitally raw and ferocious sound has attracted remixes for the likes of Lana Del Ray, Noisia, Metronomy, Hadouken!, and Paul Van Dyke and collaborations with fellow genre pioneers Micky Finn, Simon Bassline Smith, Futurebound, and certified hip-hop royalty Jeru The Damaja.

In addition to 16 awards and 126 original tunes to their name, a unique sonic palette and a strong sense of musicality have led to once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for Camo & Krooked such as musical features in TV series and video games and an unveiling of new Porsche and Lamborghini models at the Geneva International Motor Show as well as a Red-Bull sponsored symphonic orchestral cover of their song Ember.

From automating AI to orchestrating human grooves, dark and daring producer Mefjus has evolved from Drum&BassArena Award’s ‘Best Newcomer Producer’ to a mechanical master with a worldwide reputation. Cited alongside pioneers such as Noisia, Phace & Misanthrop, Ed Rush & Optical, and The Upbeats, Mefjus’s releases on forward-thinking labels Critical, Neosignla, Vision, Hospital, and Shogun Audio have earned him acclaim from BBC Radio 1 and DJ support from the likes of Andy C, Friction, Phace, and Rockwell.

Needing little introduction, drum & bass’s beloved High Contrast is delivering the remix album off the back of a prosperous career that has seen a Grammy nomination, remixes for Kanye West, Calvin Harris, the White Stripes, and Coldplay, and curation of music for the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony. In addition to global successes in the 90s and 00s such as Racing Green and The Basement Track, High Contrast has generated over 35M streams on a rework of Adele’s chart-topper Hometown Glory and over 1M streams on a recent collaboration with award-winning up-and-comer Bou, Don’t Need You.

Now recruiting fellow genre trailblazers, High Contrast facilitates an exciting and energetic revamp of smash-hit success Return of Forever. Camo & Krooked and Mefjus bring their signature blend of precise and detail-obsessed production techniques and earth-shattering, jaw-dropping drops and melodies. Return of Forever (Camo & Krooked and Mefjus remix) is the perfect epic drum & bass ballad to grace the 20th-anniversary celebration of an iconic album.
