Following the success of recent singles, Jolliffe continues to anticipate his upcoming album by recruiting Rider Shafique for massive new single Surround Me via René LaVice’s DeVice label.
Since working as one third of D&B trio Clashtone and bursting into the scene in 2019 with his darkly minimal and soulful sound, DJ and producer Jolliffe has attracted industry attention releasing on labels like Shogun, Guidance, Spearhead and Dispatch whilst collecting support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, KISS FM, D&B Arena, Rinse FM and even a sync on Viola Davis’ acclaimed TV show How To Get Away With Murder along the way.
The North London native’s recent collaboration with Inja New Perspective that also teased his upcoming album gathered BBC Radio 1 support whilst his collaboration Circuits with Joe Ford in 2021 saw DJ support from the likes of Camo & Krooked and Grafix.
Meanwhile, lyricist, poet, and recording artist Rider Shafique has made a name for himself effortlessly traversing genres like D&B, dub, dubstep, and dancehall, excelling at his melting pot sound. In addition to releasing on labels like Critical Music, Shogun Audio, Born on Road, Brownswood Recordings, and collaborating with the likes of Dread MC and Selecta J-Man, Rider Shafique is a round-the-clock artist and photographer curating visual and performance art to educate and inspire black creatives via his project I-DENTITY.
Now gracing his talent alongside Jolliffe, the third of many singles heralding Jolliffe’s upcoming album Line Of Roses, Surround Me possesses all the dark energy and tantalising drops of a filthy D&B classic in the making. The highly anticipated album will also feature a variety of talent including Liam Bailey, Jade, and Jimmy Danger and presents a fresh side of Jolliffe that is sure to run wild across festival and club circuits.
Jolliffe & Rider Shafique – Surround Me is out 19th May via DeVice.
