Movement Music Festival has revealed the stages, and showcases for its 2023 edition, featuring over 115 acts across six stages and three days. The lineup includes headline performances by electronic music legends Underworld, Basement Jaxx (DJ Set), along with Techno star Charlotte de Witte, as well as dance music titan Skrillex; Techno pioneer Cybotron; enigmatic House legend and Detroit favorite Moodymann; acclaimed electronic music producer Bonobo (DJ Set); legendary Memphis hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia; plus Caribou, Carl Craig ft. Jon Dixon (live),Zeds Dead (Altered States), Kaskade Redux, Dom Dolla b2b John Summit, Masters At Work, Robert Hood (live), Ida Engberg, Special Request, Stephan Bodzin (live), DJ Seinfeld, Adam Port, Ricardo Villalobos, Green Velvet, TSHA, Ela Minus, LSDXOXO, SPFDJ and many more.
Iconic dance music record label Defected Records will make its Detroit debut and host its first-ever showcase at Movement in collaboration with Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records on Day 2 at the Stargate Stage, featuring sets from Kevin Saunderson b2b Dantiez, Adam Port, KiNK (live), Ash Lauryn, Sam Divine and more.

The festival’s stages for 2023 are as follows: Movement Stage, Waterfront Stage presented by JARS, Pyramid Stage, Stargate Stage, Underground Stage, Detroit Stage, as well as pop-up sets in the VIP Area from Soul Clap, Mija & Friends, and Detroit Techno Militia. Music fans will once again descend upon Detroit, the mecca of Techno music, and be treated to three days of diverse curation on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29, 2023) inside Hart Plaza at downtown Detroit’s riverfront.
In keeping with the festival’s tradition of celebrating Detroit’s music culture, the Detroit Stage will feature an all-Detroit lineup of veterans, rising talent, and newcomers, including electro pioneers Aux88 (live); Detroit Techno pioneer James Pennington as Suburban Knight; mysterious underground collective Scan 7 (live); Ghostly International artist Todd Osborn performing under his Drum ‘n Bass alias Soundmurder; as well as newcomers 2Lanes, AK, Audia, Fusegrade and many more.
Since its inception, Movement has been dedicated to bringing music fans a completely original experience to Detroit, with a focus on showcasing authentic and diverse lineups that are purely about the music and culture. The 2023 lineup continues to showcase the festival’s wide-range in programming, featuring an inspired selection of dance music’s most in-demand artists, underground mainstays, and notable first-time performers; a potent cross section of seasoned vets and future generations of electronic music.
