Coinciding with Sónar’s SónarCCCB Festival on Fri 29th and Sat 30th October, OFFSónar celebrates a return to late night clubbing in Barcelona with 2 nights, bringing together the best of the local scene with two of the world’s foremost djs: Nina Kraviz and Laurent Garnier. 

On Friday, October 29, the event will be headlined by Nina Kraviz, the renowned and versatile Siberian DJ. Kraviz will be backed by talents Nrdx and Anika Kunst on the main stage, with Shlomi Aber, Gaetano Parisio and Alisa Filatova providing the cherry on top in the second room. 

Saturday 30th October brings a DJ whose name is almost synonymous with that of Sónar: Laurent Garnier. The inimitable French techno dj will be celebrating a return to the dancefloor at OFFSónar By Night, (and to cinemas with the premiere of the globetrotting documentary Laurent Garnier Off the Record at In-Edit Festival). Support on the night will come from a living legend of Spanish electronica Angel Molina and  the dj duo Shakti Alliance, while Mystery Affair, and the all female Femnoise collectives’ Josephine and Luna Martinez keep things tidy in the second room.

Both nights will take place between 22:00 and 04:00 hours, at Hivernacle, in the unmistakable surroundings of the Plaza Mayor of Poble Espanyol. 

Following the current COVID restrictions, dancing will be allowed without physical distancing. It is mandatory to wear a mask, except for eating or drinking in the designated areas. Entry will only be allowed upon presentation of an EU Covid pass or a negative PCR or antigen test.

Co-produced by Sónar, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya UPC and betevé in the framework of the European Commission’s S+T+ARTS program, the festival kicks off on Wednesday 27th with the Opening Concert by Marco Mezquida at L’Auditori, and a full day the following day with another 20 shows, DJ sets, talks and workshops at the CCCB on Thursday 28th, with Holly Herndon feat.
