BREAKBEAT KAOS. DJ Fresh drops next big hit with Used.

Following the celebration of timeless hit Gold Dust with an anniversary remix pack earlier this year, DJ Fresh continues his legacy with in demand producer Used for Higher feat. Nikki Ambers via his relaunched Breakbeat Kaos label.

Known for his genius production ability with an unrivalled  energy and infectious vocal hooks, DJ Fresh now provides crossover hit potential once more with Higher alongside rising D&B star Used. Sonically echoing classics like BRIT certified x2 Platinum Gold Dust and UK no.1 Hot Right Now, Higher is the perfect evolution of DJ Fresh’s signature sound.

From his roots in underground D&B outfit Bad Company, to catapulting to mainstream success, DJ Fresh is one of the most prolific pioneers with a career that spans over 20 years, guiding D&B to a wider audience and chart hit recognition. Mastering both D&B club scorchers and radio friendly anthems, Fresh is the impressive titleholder of numerous Official UK Top 40 entries, clocking up to ten Top 10 singles, including five top 5 and two UK No.1s, whilst collaborating with the likes of Diplo, Rita Ora, Ella Eyre, Dizzee Rascal, Ellie Goulding and more.

Following his multiple hits over the years through major labels like Sony and Ministry of Sound, Higher will be the first crossover anthem to release via DJ Fresh’s legendary relaunched label Breakbeat Kaos, which initially propelled the careers of Pendulum, Sigma, Chase & Status and others.

Alongside Fresh as they join forces for the ultimate production wizardry, Belgian producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Used returns following his official remix of Gold Dust with award-winning DJ and producer Bou, which landed a Beatport no.1 as well as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. Known for fresh, throttling D&B tunes, Used is paving the way for rising D&B talent, earning millions of streams with Mistakes or his remix of Acid’s Go Acid! and SkepsisFreak, whilst entering Spotify’s Massive Drum & Bass, Run’N’Bass, and Lactic Acid Run playlists, and garnering further radio support from René LaVice on BBC Radio 1.

Now ready to unleash their collaboration, DJ Fresh and Used supplements a medicinal dose of face-melting energy to the boldly euphoric and elated Higher. Blessed with Nikki Ambers’ soaring vocals, who previously contributed to Fresh’s UK Official Chart no. 7 Make U Bounce, DJ Fresh and Used’s Higher is certified to send crowds and airwaves into meltdown.

Road tested at DJ Fresh’s first Breakbeat Kaos club night at the renowned Fabric club in London, Higher has already caused a stir on dancefloors bigger than anticipated. With a hyped crowd singing along as if Higher is already an established hit, the new single cements the return of Fresh’s hit track record that has reigned for over a decade.
