MUTEK BARCELONA 2022. First wave of artists for edition 13.

The International Festival of Digital Creativity and Electronic Music, MUTEK Barcelona, will celebrate its 13th edition from March 7 to 13, 2022. Originally from Canada, MUTEK has a solid International Network that spans America, Europe and Asia and that in 2022 will present the festival editions: MUTEK Montreal (23rd edition), MUTEK Mexico (18th edition), MUTEK Japan (6th edition) and MUTEK Argentina (6th edition).

Once again, the objective of the festival is to showcase innovative and disruptive projects that combine digital creativity, music and technology. For this, it proposes a program that includes professional activities, digital art installations, live shows and audiovisual performances through its different programs: Play, Ambient, Nocturne, A/Visions, Experience and Digi Lab.

This edition reflects the importance -more than ever- of the founding values of the MUTEK platform of building bridges and of a cultural model based, for more than two decades, on promoting international cooperation synergies, which have consolidated MUTEK as one of the main active training and exhibition platforms for an artistic and professional community seriously affected by the stoppage of the industry in the past 2 years.

True to its mandate of being a space for discovery and experimentation, the festival offers premieres and debuts by renowned international and national artists and presents a selection of notable new talents from around the world.
