BIME 2019. Spain’s foremost Autumn music festival and conference – expands 2019 roster.

BIME, Spain’s largest indoor Autumn festival and industry conference, today announces the programme for BIME City, a series of free concerts taking place in the centre of Bilbao, and a raft of new speakers for industry conference BIME Pro. The BIME City roster, including El Columpio Asesino, Desorden Público and Beverly Kills, join a bill of stellar contemporary talent at BIME Live 2019, including Kraftwerk, Foals, Jamiroquai, Michael Kiwanuka, Róisín Murphy, Helena Hauff, Floating Points, Röyksopp, park hye jin, The Divine Comedy and many more.

BIME City.
The fifth edition of BIME City will once more transform the city of Bilbao into a musical maelstrom showcasing Europe and Latin America’s most promising talent. The city’s most iconic venues will play host to more than 40 free performances from emerging national and international talent from 12 different countries, including Navarre band El Columpio Asesino, returning to Bilbao with a new LP currently in the works and a fresh single hot off the press; the historic Venezuelan ska band Desorden Público; Basque outfits Nøgen, Liher, Grande Days, Hakima Flissi and Joseba Irazoki eta Lagunak, as well as acts hailing from other corners of Europe, such as La Habitación Roja, Lina & Raül Refree, Cave Story, Beverly Kills, Someone, The Psychotic Monks,The Zephyr Bones, Primas Hermanas, Edsun, Otha, Yawners, and Hickeys, among others.

BIME Pro.
BIME Pro is a meeting point for music, culture and creative industry professionals from more than 30 different countries. It is a space for connecting continents, doing business, sharing knowledge and discovering the latest innovations in anything and everything directly or indirectly related to music.

This year’s BIME Pro programme is the most ambitious to date, with speakers including music mogul Mathew Knowles, The Orchard Co-founder Scott Cohen, Endemol Shine UK’s Director of Music Amelia Hartley and Chief Innovation Officer at Warner Music Group Joe Rudge. The forward-thinking Spanish industry conference today adds 20 new speakers to the conference programme, including one of Spain’s foremost singer-songwriters, Rozalén; Dominique Kulling, Executive Vice-president of Continental Europe Repertoire & Marketing at BMG; John Broomhall, composer and cofounder of video game company Game Music Connect; Ady Harley, Facebook and Instagram’s Head of Label Partnerships, LATAM; and Laura Davidson, head of AEG’s European festivals booking team.

Joining them are Fruzsina Szép, festival director for Lollapalooza Berlin; Alastair Lindsay, Head of Audio at CORD Worldwide; Director of the Canadian sync and licensing company Rocking Horse Road Productions Janesta Boudreau; journalist and Billboard correspondent specializing in Latin music Judy Cantor-Navas; Alfonso Lanza, Co-director of Primavera Sound; Teresa Moore, Director of A Greener Festival and many more. After pledging last year to PRS Foundation’s Keychange project, aiming at fully genderbalanced lineups by 2022, BIME PRO is sticking with the initiative in a second phase set to last the next 4 years.

BIME Live.
The 2-day BIME Live event welcomes the current music scene’s top performers and upcoming promises on both the local and international scene, making it one of Europe’s biggest indoor festivals, with footfall from Spain and abroad. This year’s roster includes Kraftwerk, Foals, Jamiroquai, Michael Kiwanuka, Brittany Howard, Róisín Murphy, Helena Hauff, Floating Points, Röyksopp, Amaia, Kaydy Cain, Coucou Chloe, park hye jin, Daphni, The Divine Comedy and many more. Taking place from 1st to 2nd of November, BIME Live is the perfect Halloween weekend plan for lovers of contemporary sounds.
